Julia and Mark are happy to get Music in the Mountains tickets for everyone who wants to come. As that event is outdoors, there are no reserved seats and as many can come as want to. Tickets can even be purchased at the gate for people who decide at the last minute, although that slows down the entry process.
Julia writes… Normally we arrive at 5:30pm, since Mark is a board member, to select and set up in a grassy area not too far from the stage. We lay out blankets, a low table, chairs, etc. and get the drinks and snacks ready.
Yes, we make a production out of it as it is so much fun. A couple of people can come in early with us, but the gates open at 6pm so that is when most of the group will get in. In addition to whatever food and drinks we bring, there are vendors peddling a variety of coffees, ice cream, beer, wine, etc. It would be nice if some of the group brought food and drinks to share as well as a blanket and low folding chairs (no full size chairs allowed in this area).
We are happy to provide the plates, flatware, condiments, glasses, etc. as
well as a few dishes of food too. We have access to 6-7 chairs only.
Details can come later.
You are welcome to stay at our house and we will put up as many as
possible. If you prefer to stay in town, let me know if you want a B&B, a
hotel or a motel. We will give you our suggestions and encourage you to
book a room as soon as possible, as this town fills up with tourists in the
summer. You can always cancel if you change your mind. As for the car
situation, we have three + my mother’s pickup available. We can rent a
vehicle from Enterprise, if we need to or if someone wants their own wheels.
They are not at the airport, but we can pick it up and have it ready.
Let me know if I have missed something. We are looking forward to hosting
this event and hope there is a good turn out.
