Join us on Tuesday, April 23 for our 25th Anniversary concert, “How Can We Keep From Singing!” at Davies Symphony Hall. Singers Marin’s youth and adult choruses, along with our guest ensembles, Branson High School Chamber Singers, Golden Gate Men’s Chorus, Voci Women’s Vocal Ensemble, and Mill Valley Philharmonic, will perform selected works by renowned choral composer, Gwyneth Walker, including the World premiere of a new commission written for the occasion, and a West Coast premiere. In addition, the combined 175 teen and adult singers will perform the choral/orchestral masterpiece by Igor Stravinsky, “Symphony of Psalms.”
This concert commemorates Singers Marin’s 25 years of fulfilling its mission, “touching hearts…uplifiting spirits,” through providing choral music excellence to the community under the leadership of Artistic Director and Founder, Jan Pedersen Schiff. Because of what Singers Marin has accomplished under her direction, Jan will be inducted into the Marin Women’s Hall of Fame the week prior to this exciting celebration concert.
We will present this concert in memory of Catherine “Kitty” Houghton, a beloved member and huge supporter of Singers Marin.
