Marin 99’s Beat Mother Nature for Fly-In to Watts-Woodland . . . she can slow us, detour us, but she cannot stop us!

On Saturday, February 21, an eager group of 9 pilots flew to the historic Watts-Woodland Airport for lunch at the Yolo Fliers Country Club.   We patiently waited for the fog to burn off and finally got our necessary VFR conditions.  As shown in the photo below, our group consisted of (from left to right) Susan Royce, Robert Tucknott (joining us from the International Fellowship of Flying Rotarians – IFFR) , Valerie Westen, Dan Bedford, Carolyn Walker-Davis, Cindy Pickett, Nysa Kline and Amy Royce.   We better not forget Robert’s co-pilot, Mack-A-Doodle-Do, his border collie.  Eventually turned out to be a perfect day for a fly-in.
