Last Thursday, March 31, Susan Santiago of KWMR Radio in Pt. Reyes Station, interviewed Barbara O’Grady, Cindy Pickett, Sue Royce and Sue’s mother, Beth Fuhrman. The interview covered questions about our flying experiences, the Marin 99s and as women in aviation. We all had interesting stories to share, especially Beth with her Civil Air Patrol flight with female cadets in a KC-135 Stratotanker refueling a jet over Oregon. Cindy talked about her cross-country flying and involvement with women pilots in Nepal and how our Marin 99s support them. They have asked her to go to China and teach women to fly! Barbara talked about her first solo flight and also flying to Alaska. Sue talked about the Angel Derby race she and her mother flew together in 1978 from Dallas, Texas to Freeport, Bahamas.
